Tobolsk-Polymer Ltd is one of the top three polypropylene producers in the world, with a production capacity of about 500,000 tons per year. The company has a plant that produces propylene through the dehydrogenation of propane (510,000 tons per year), as well as a polypropylene-production plant (500,000 tons per year).

The feedstock (propane) comes from Tobolsk-Neftekhim’s gas-fractionation plants. Polypropylene (PP) is produced at a licensed (by INEOS LLC, U.S.A.) plant, using the proprietary Innovene gas-phase technology. The selectivity of the catalyst can easily be adjusted based on market demand. In addition, the Innovene proprietary technology includes a unique, heavy-duty, energy-efficient reactor. Its high-performance catalyst, proprietary reactor, other high-efficiency equipment and materials, plus its automated process control system, make Innovene a high-performance and low-cost method for producing polypropylene without endangering the environment or staff.
