The propylene produced at Tobolsk-Polymer's propane dehydrogenation facilities was registered under the European Union's REACH chemical safety regulations.

Tobolsk-Polymer, one of the world’s largest polypropylene production facilities, was commissioned at a grand opening ceremony attended by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. This construction project has been hailed as the biggest investment project in the Russian petrochemicalindustry.

SIBUR has begun integrated equipment testing at the propylene storage facility and trial production of the first polypropylene line at the company’s Tobolsk-Polymer complex, according to the commissioning timetable.

Mikhail Karisalov, SIBUR’s Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Executive Director, and Director General of Tobolsk-Polymer today updated the plant’s Governing Board on the current status of the project.

Fifty percent of the total construction and installation work is complete for the Tobolsk-Polymer complex.

At the “Tobolsk-Polymer” construction site, the delivery and installation of oversized and heavy equipment for the propane dehydrogenation unit has been completed.
